The problem is that the suffering and death is a feature not a bug. To religious conservatives, the ideal woman is the one who sacrifices herself "for her baby" even when that "baby" has no chance of survival. They want to legally enforce making pregnancy and childbirth dangerous and deadly because they believe that's what their god decreed in Genesis and they believe that suffering ennobles women.

Abbott is demonic even by their standards, no one has more hatred for women than he does even amongst the many misogynists at the MAGA GOP (and it’s most of their leaders in their 25 base states right now, period).

This right here. ^^^ They want to legislate the verse from Genesis -- "To the woman [God] said, 'I will greatly multiply your pain in childbirth; in pain you will give birth to children'" -- because that's "God's will."

I watched Charlie Kirk debate some college students about this.

Picking on college students as a 30 year-old man is a pretty shity thing to do. But what's worse is he is so stubborn and pigheaded.

"Play stupid games, win stupid prizes lol."

Republicans like to think of themselves as the party of "personal responsibility". You must accept the consequences of your bad decisions.

That may sound like a good thing, but in reality it's just an excuse for them to be selfish, inconsiderate assholes.

Hey Jill

I wanted to let you know that Charlie Kirk just debated a feminist at Cambridge.

She was just a college student, but she debated very well. It was interesting to watch, and you might want to check it out

Hey Jill,

I'm sorry that I shared this with you. You shouldn't have to listened to his anti-feminist BS.

Remember, he's just a shameless partisan hack. He's just regurgitate conservative talking points. Anyone who truly believes that women's liberation was a mistake is an idiot, and you shouldn't pay him any mind.

He is also condescending, imperious, ignorant, with large elements of misogyny.

He does a lot of shitty things.
